In my worldbuilding the seat of Emet-Selch is one that’s passed down from parent to child(ren), it’s also a duty with two parts to it - when the current Emet-Selch returns to the star they take up the duty of being a guide and shepherd of sorts for the returned/returning souls-

going more into detail about the confrontation aspect of this - zenos being a trans woman in my canon is something she had known since she was a child and while forced to play the part of the prince it was still a part of herself she never denied to herself-
post-ew when eztli hallucinates the ghost of zenos she always views her with, for want of better wording, big ol' honkers (exposed btw) as a representation of the femininity eztli views zenos with while also being a confrontation towards eztli's sense/denial of self

eztli got a full hysterectomy sometime during heavensward because i thought no one deserves to be the wol AND have a period 🩵 otherwise i think her periods post-calamity were rather inconsistent and on the heavier side
My partner was like “why does no one ever talk about their oc’s period?” So true… Wilka’s period debuffs during the dragonsong war I know he was fighting for his life. I think I would rather die than be on my period and have to wear a full suit of armor
