I respect u, but I think ur wrong here. Never before things happen all the time when incentives change. And I think quite uniquely, all the political incentives were behind the party shutting the government down (Dems) this time.

That would violate the Voting Rights act. When the SC completely guts it, then Illinois should eliminate the 3 GOP seats. For now it could try to eliminate one

lmaoooo harsh. I voted for Haris myself, Jill Stein is a joke. But as a Jew this issue is especially relevant to me, I want to see leaders like Bernie or Lander that exemplify the values I hold dear on a daily basis.

I don't like the fact that Pritzker was a literal member of AIPAC. I want to see leaders like Bernie or Lander that exemplify the Jewish values I hold dear on a daily basis, not billionaires like Pritzker

I don't like the fact that Pritzker was a literal board member of AIPAC. Not a lot of people know that. I do think people should at least take that into account when deciding what they think of him

I'm curious, right on your bio it says u use they them pronouns but then I keep seeing people refer to u as a sister. Do you mind that? That seems kinda annoying tbh, it seems like they have good intentions tho so I hope that helps!

I did actually look more into how robbery was defined after posting this. I should have before lol. I'm not fully convinced tho. I do think it's a gradient and the threat of violence isn't the same as actual violence. Regardless tho I would hope you agree the focus should be on rehabilitation

And of course I believe we need to fundamentally restructure the criminal justice system and prisons to focus on rehabilitation, which is why this post doesn't feel relevant to me

I don't want to just deny facts that don't suit my narrative. But I don't love this framing. Is robbery a violent crime? Seems to me it would depend on the robbery. That's still so many people arrested for drugs, why can't they go to drug treatment centers instead?

I'm unsure about it. But that article has several incorrect facts. It was completely voluntary. Within the voluntary program, it was up to teachers how exactly they implemented it. And it was based on a very large study I found interesting: drive.google.com/file/d/1f2rC...

This actually misses something important. This is a way to make American business even more oligarchical. Trump has already said he may exempt specific large businesses from tariffs. Of course that would likely happen through a quid pro quo
