Congregation Ezra Bessaroth is among the longest serving Balkan/Ladino Sephardic Congregation in North America and is a central resource for Sephardic life, culture, and tradition in the US and worldwide.
Yitzchak Navon came from a Ladino-speaking household. In addition to serving as the first Sephardic President of Israel, he was an accomplished author and playwright. His most famous play, Bustan Sephardi was a Ladino/Hebrew musical and is considered a cultural classic.
