I say all this to try to give people outside my community a rough sense of where I and quite a few others are. For the life of me, I will never understand why some people make it their whole agenda to make another person’s life more difficult. (end)

to do so. My documents all have “F” on them and I don’t think I can have that changed now, not under this administration. Which is a problem, because eventually, I *will* look different enough that those “F”s will start to raise eyebrows.

At 5’1” with a curvy frame, I don’t pass. Not for lack of trying. I’ve had my body chemically and surgically modified to get to a place where I’m more comfortable, but it’s still not enough, because I get ma’am’d all day long. I’ve given up on correcting people because I no longer feel safe (6/?)

how incredibly difficult this process is for full-grown adults, much less minors who are fully under the legal purview of their guardians, the damage is done. These people believe these things, because it’s been beaten into public discourse, regardless of truth. (5/?)

There is a certain safety in staying out of the public eye. Invisibility is also isolating and dangerous in a different sort of way. When most are unaware of you, it’s often difficult to get proper care, or be listened to when you need (2/?)
