Holed up in my mother-in-law's house in Sapporo because of inescapable cultural obligations. Dogs, birding, cricket, Philly sports, Guinness, Nanoblocks, snowshoeing, local hikes, car-less, browser-only Bluesky and YouTube user, fixed-line fishing...
Love to see it. Yesterday, I enjoyed a wonderful hike, not another soul for a few hours. That is nearly impossible on a Saturday.

I absolutely love this and the world needs more people like your friend. It is doable. I lived in Asia for over a decade with what was essentially a texting device and barely used even that function. Life finds a way...

Yeh, but purple doesn't really jive with their overall ultra-conservative athletics. These folks wake up wearing their Sunday best, and aren't heading out to some avant-garde art expo, or to watch their friend's punk rock band. So looking cool? I think not...
