Why mod a console to give crazy hd scoopity output in 2025 where emulators are already accurate enough to not matter 99% of the time. Damn project 64 from 16 years ago runs mario 64 fine enough for me. Mesen is the 2nd most accurate nes emulator last i checked, only missing some instructions

But my other half of the point has to be made... i dont like superfluous mods of retro stuff like that.. The furthest extent I'll go for any console is region modding (fuck xenophobia), jailbreaking (which ive done to all of my modern consoles lol), and like, allowing burned games to play

maybe now i should go on about how i dont like rgb/hdmi modding retro consoles... but i think half my points already been made and has overstayed its already nonexistent welcome.

i think having the digital out is fine only if it also had composite out too, which it doesnt.

Like.... at that point ill just plop open retroarch mupen64 whatever, its accurate enough. if i want an authentic experience i want composite output (like my unmodded n64)

no ezo they werent literally designed around composite video... but the look and feel of playing the console is completely screwed over when it isnt composite video, i swear on my left toe
