the lilac is waking up.

surprise this morning. a little cluster of snowdrops separate from the rest of our patch (posted a few days ago). this one springs up next to the strawberry bin. every year i try to remember to move it, and every year i forget. thinking i want to disperse the larger patch over a wider area too.

Took Squiggy to a park today and found these! Crocuses! AND BEES! Wows.
bright purple flowers with yellow centers happily emerging from the dead plant debris and soil. cluster of very light purple petaled flowers with deep yellow stamens in crumbly soil and small green leaf growth. there is a small honeybee near the center of the image approaching a flower, wings spead wide and flying. a group of light purple petaled flowers with deep yellow stamens centered amid dead leaf and plant debris with a few random springs of green grass and small leafed plants. toward the center of the cluster of flowers there is a honeybee inside one of the flowers.

Was upstate for a handful of days for my show and came home to find these in the backyard this morning. Snowdrops!
a small patch of tiny snowdrop flowers bursting out of the ground - bright green with little white flowers amid soil, rocks, and various dead plant debris. there is a bit of grapevine coming down from above framing them beautifully.
