After our aircraft went mechanical, we ended up spending Christmas Eve and day in Clyde River NU. An Arctic community with an abundance of natural beauty.
Local folks were so supportive of this stranded air ambulance crew and their hospitality will be gratefully remembered by us for a long time.

Commuting back home and I noticed the abandoned Downsview airport. This has been an air field, an Air Force base and from 1994 to 2018, was a Boeing test facility before being decommissioned and sold to a developer.
Looks especially romantic to me washed gently in the early morning light.
