8/ Non un semplice pastore, ma un guerriero della Fede si richiede a questi tempi tenebrosi. Un Pontefice che, come il beato Pio V, sappia impugnare con mano ferma la spada dello Spirito, tagliando senza esitazione i nodi dell'eresia.

7/ Cessato è il governo di colui che, pur sedendo sulla Cattedra di Pietro, preferì troppo spesso il guanto al ferro. Il Santo Ufficio - che mai dimentica come il Signore stesso brandì la frusta nel Tempio - attende ora con vigile speranza il nuovo Successore.
