a fucking posting blackout is the opposite of helpful, it would be actively detrimental. it would make things worse!

Bad actors will simply ignore the rules, keep making new accounts, and spam. A blanket ban does not affect them, but it WILL be weaponized against people who try to accurately represent their work in good faith. We've seen it a million times before on every other platform.
