a whole year since conclave (2024)!! to celebrate, here is the bookmark i designed for the conclave zine - i wanted to highlight the work the sisters do and to show appreciation for sister shanumi <3
Bookmark designs for the Conclave Zine. On the left is an illustration of Sister Shanumi holding a canary in the style of a stained glass window. On the right is an illustration of different tiers of the sisters doing work and pivotal scenes in the film. The top layer shows the sisters preparing dinner, the second layer shows Sister Agnes giving the late Holy Father's key to Cardinal Lawrence, the third layer shows Sister Agnes photocopying the Simony papers and the other sisters placing them on the dining tables for the cardinals, and the final layer shows the last scene of the film, where three sisters jovially cross the courtyard towards a brighter day.
