Keywords 🤔:
1. Fire: ´Blaze Star’ beer, ´Shout Fire…´, 📚Becky - ‘Rebecca’ and ‘Great Expectations’, Numeric nods to Rovers fires. Charcoal in Dev’s
2. Explosion: Blaze Star (Beer/a star that’s about to 💥) Hamlet - ´…..never doubt I love’
3. Water (and boats/fishing) : way too many to list! #Swarla

Roy’s pointing out some books. Suzie runs in and we get a look at them. A closer view in a different episode. ‘Bound’, ‘Wake Up’, ‘Maze of survival’, ‘Après Armageddon.’ 😬 Unless anyone can show me otherwise, none of these are actual books! #Swarla

Not looking good for Becky (or maybe Kit 🤷‍♀️)

The subtitles mangled the name but Jack Kerouac wrote ‘On The Road.’ Likely a Corriedale reference. The A62 comes to mind #Swarla

I spotted this a while ago but wasn’t sure until the ‘Lady Lazarus’ reference. Something’s gone wrong with the #swarla messaging because Sylvia Plath’s work, or life, isn’t easily associated with an ´enjoyable ride.´ Also, another story (life), literary reference that ends in untimely death. Bleak 😬
December 11, 2025 at 9:04 AM
Attention to detail‼️ The vases/jars in No6 are references to ´The Bell Jar’ and Sylvia Plath. ´Lady Lazarus’ is a poem of hers. This is bleak stuff 😬 #Swarla

Some storylines are written to take place over a year. Although Becky hasn’t been on screen a year, her return storyline was heavily hinted at a year ago. Hopefully she’s gone soon #Swarla

Remember how I think the ‘Nordic Interior Houses’ 📚 could include a reference to Dahl’s The Witches. 86 is an important number in the book. In 1986 THE ROVERS BURNT DOWN and in episode 3086 it nearly got a makeover based on a pub called the Riverboat (boat/water reference) #Swarla 4/a few

But do you also remember this and the fact that the electrician was ‘in the pub.’ Electrics/electrician and The Rovers are a very, very bad mix! Here’s why and why it could be relevant…#Swarla 3/a few

Remember how there was Gin (in the box) for everyone at the factory, except Betsy. Gin = mother’s ruin 🤔 Remember all the don’t drink/drive signs at the police station (especially around Lisa) #Swarla 2/a few

Continuing the review: Remember last Christmas, The Slade Song playing in The Background? Are you hanging up your stocking on the wall?
It's the time that every Santa has a ball
Does he ride a red-nosed reindeer?
Does a ton-up on his sleigh?
Do the fairies keep him sober for the day?…#Swarla 1/a few

There have been loads of references to something/someone being in the air, e.g:
Send in the Clowns,
‘if you leave me hanging this time next year’ #Swarla

Continuing the review….
I’ll repost some of the things we’ve seen that might be relevant to what could be coming up #Swarla

Carla: ‘there are 8 people in my relationship.’
8 people are in ‘the play’ scene in Hamlet (4 actors and 4 characters) and 8 in The Mousetrap (plus Mrs Barlow who is never seen 🤣.) Also 8 - part of 86. Also, also is Carla standing in front of the BBQ charcoal? - another 🔥 reference? 😬 #Swarla
November 28, 2025 at 5:47 PM
The monitor numbers! 😂 Near episodes to 3/4/2012, 4/3/2012, 3+4 =July 2012 or 3x4 =December 2012. A murder at the factory, a death, a fire, Rob out of prison, Carla goes off round the world with Peter ⛵️comes back and goes to and back from LA, a fight + nearly a Christmas wedding 😅 #Swarla 3/a few
November 27, 2025 at 10:44 PM
Important references to Fire in other books referenced: In Rebecca (Becky) and in Great Expectations (Roy was reading it) Also, remember ‘shout Fire not help’?! 😬 6/a lot #Swarla
November 27, 2025 at 10:16 PM
Other keywords: Fire, Star (eg Blaze Star beer) See previous posts about reference in Hamlet to a comet. Today did Kit call the police officer ‘sparky’? 🤣 I think the Rovers is going up (see previous posts) Lots of Blaze Star beer at Poker Night, who else has been drinking it? 5/a lot #Swarla
November 27, 2025 at 10:08 PM
See previous posts about Roald Dahl’s ‘The Witches’, from right back in the episode that gave us the heads up about Easter Eggs with reference to the (Saul) Beiderbecke Affair and when Max said they’d get the 8:06 bus (86 - it’s an important number in The Witches book) 😂 4/a lot #Swarla
November 27, 2025 at 10:01 PM
Other keywords:
Lots of references to Magic (Costello was going to weave some) Witches (Becky’s Bellatrix jibe and Christina singing in the toilets scene) and Devils (Becky’s mask) All these keywords are mentioned in Hamlet
3/a lot #Swarla
November 27, 2025 at 9:47 PM
So, the play’s the thing.
Let’s review keywords further: What’s the play in Shakespeare’s Hamlet called? ‘The Mousetrap’! The play is changed slightly to trick the villain watching in to showing their guilt #Swarla 2/a lot
November 27, 2025 at 9:26 PM
Ok then 😀 let’s review:
The book at No6
‘Nordic interior houses’ would include references to Norway and Denmark, which along with Dido and Falconer are mentioned in Act II Scene II of Hamlet, which ends with ‘The play’s the thing Wherein I’ll catch the conscience of the King.’ #Swarla 1/a lot!
November 27, 2025 at 9:16 PM
Poor Costello isn’t moving but there’s still lots happening - so many Easter Eggs and links in this shot! Firstly, ‘Jerome’ (written on two boards) K Jerome wrote ‘Three men in a boat’ - another boat/water reference (uncharted waters etc) 1/a few #Swarla
November 27, 2025 at 8:47 AM
It’s the Rovers isn’t it 😬 #Swarla
November 23, 2025 at 7:31 PM
There wouldn’t have been time but imagine if the showing of the #corrie episodes had allowed for each book they’ve referenced to be read during the storyline. So many classics I haven’t read yet like Great Expectations and Kipling’s ‘Kim’. #Swarla (Carla by the Book Club poster on 29th May 2024)

Combat(s)/The book Ken is rereading (I don’t like the Becky story and I really, really don’t like this aspect of it if these are connected)
