The world seems to be falling apart because we can't find a future to believe in. I've worked hard to find a story that gives us our future back, but it's meant dipping very deep into the story of Life itself. This is not the story (it's on the website and in the book), but it's my reason to hope.

So this is how it all began, and still goes. Fascinating stuff!

Me 15 years ago vs. me today. Retirement means returning to your foundations.

I had doubts about posting this. Many still "hate" both Trudeaus but it's not the haters who'll decide this election, it's 'undecideds' who can't trust Carney because he's "just a banker". And however you feel about Trudeau Sr's policies, he's one of Canada's true Statesmen in the eyes of the world.

Only 12 more days and I can stop posting election stuff! I can go back to snails, and trees, and Neanderthals! But for now, here's another political... well, question I guess: Where exactly does Mark Carney fall on the political spectrum? I like that the answer is not easy.

Canadian here. Sorry, but this is the only way I think the US can regain the trust of its former allies: Congress uses what I understand (as a perhaps naïve citizen of a 'responsible government' system) to be its constitutional powers to remove a Supreme Court non-compliant President from office.

Food for thought this Canadian election cycle but also for Last US election. (Sorry for the "meme", but whole thing won't fit in BlueSky text post.)

The Biden-Trump Principle (also known as the 'Louis Rule' for obscure personal reasons): The sum of the energy needed for effectiveness plus the energy needed for self-promotion is too great for one person to handle.

I think our new Prime Minister (no, not "governor") is the kind of leader the 21st century is looking for.

The financial "success" of the USA was never due to it's enthusiastically proclaimed constitutional superiority; it was the natural result of the newly arrived Europeans' extractive free-for-all on a new and yet unexploited continent.

Elizabeth May, always a class act. What maybe you didn't know about our exiting Prime Minister.

Whether you're "liberal" or "conservative", if you're confused about why today's political discourse is so highly polarised, this book is for you.
