This had me in tears by the end. I have had the privilege to play (and lose) against Jesse one time, and you can tell that she is an incredibly skilled and capable player. For our sake, I hope this isn't the final stretch of her magic career. I hope to play (and lose against) Jesse again one day.

My first year of college I took a chance at orientation and decided to talk to some random people in hopes of making some friends before the semester. By the end of semester 1 I had bought the Boros Guild kit and the rest is history

I started following you years ago because of your passion for the commander format. Years removed from my time spent playing commander, I listen to you as an aspiring competitive player as a reminder that we have passion for this game because of the people we play it with.

I have definitely heard of this, I'm sure everybody has their ideal timeframe for when "the best" magic decks existed. It makes me wonder what it would look like to put different block constructed decks against each other.

Stuff like that and pit decks against each other in a Pseudo-Premodern style format. Like just a bunch of sweet interactions without some of the newer stuff that seems to ruin magic. Almost like a early 2000s-Mid 2010s kind of format? 🤔

I was actually talking to a local player the other day about Standard blocks from the past. He was telling me about the decks he used to play and going in detail about things like Caw-Go and Phantasmal Image+Sun Titan. Made me really interested in seeing what magic would be like if we sectioned-off

I was listening to a video the other day about a Legacy Variant called "Premier" that was Legacy but excluding ALL UB, New-Gen(I think?) commander decks, and Horizons sets. It sounds like an interesting thing to try.

I should also add that I also have generally viewed UB as a negative to our game. It's stuff like this that reminds me that we as a group of people who love different things sometimes need to just embrace the passion that others have for things we know nothing about, and put our feelings aside ❤️

As someone who knows nothing about FF, I really appreciated how you encapsulate this feeling of jumping into something foreign with the help of truly passionate individuals who just want to talk about the thing they love. We get to do that so frequently with Magic, it's incredibly unfair to FF fans.

Legit just logged onto arena to build UB Mid. If Modern, Legacy, etc isn't gonna be fun I might as well try to enjoy the "new" format for a few days while it's relatively fresh

I only double sleeve ones I intend to play for tournaments. I've been building multiple lately in preparation for an event coming near me and I've single sleeved the ones I'm using for testing.
