On the morning I was supposed to book an appointment with the psychiatrist, I opened my laptop and instead searched for train tickets. The cursor blinked patiently, as if waiting for a decision I had already made. Something in me wanted movement more than diagnosis, distance more than explanation. By noon, I was on a crowded platform, holding a small bag and a larger sense of relief. The city blurred past the window, carrying my thoughts with it. With every mile, the weight on my chest loosened, replaced by the quiet thrill of not knowing exactly where I would end up. Travel did not solve everything, but it gave me space to breathe, to listen, and to remember that healing can sometimes begin with simply stepping away.
