It's through The Vipers that Da's able to access testosterone, off record. Debts also start to rack up, though Da won't know about them until he and Akagi, after many violent fights, finally break apart, leaving Da cast out and saddled with the bulk of the gang's debts.

It's not all bad, though the circumstances certainly are. With Da's dad recently found dead in the Yokohama bay and a rapidly deteriorating relationship with their ma, Da seeks to find family in The Vipers, and the queer community within Kamurocho's Champion District.

Nighttime. Da and Mitsu embrace passionately in the backseat of a parked car. Red neon light streams in through the rear window, catching droplets of rain that run down the glass. Mitsu's suit jacket lies haphazardly crumpled along the back of the seat, whilst Da's t-shirt is pushed up to expose their midriff. Da's left leg is no longer is within their pants, and they've kicked off one of their ankle boots. Da pulls hard at the back of Mitsu's shirt, clearly determined to further both their states of undress, whilst Mitsu kisses at Da's cheek and ear, half-hidden behind Da's very pleased expression (complete with lip bite.) The same as the image before, but with pink neon lighting coming through the window instead of red.
