based on the position on the front panel PCB, the mystery chip is almost certainly an LED driver for the 7-segment display. a quick search on LCSC for QFP-48 led driver ICs turns up this TM1681 with the same distinctive 3 dot pattern: www.lcsc.com/product-deta...
