If you like lox & bagel, the best one I've ever had is at Café La Bine at 758 Beaubien Est. There's also great NY-style pizza not far from there at Pizza Bouquet (also on Beaubien), and great thai food at Épicerie Pumpui on Saint Zotique just a block over from that.

I love this weird idea that gold will NEVER lose its value, no matter what! Like… you know you can’t eat it, right? And it would make kind of a terrible shelter…

There's a really good Thai place near me that absolutely fucked me up by serving me a SALAD I couldn't handle in terms of spice. I didn't even know salads could be spicy. Full existential crisis.
