generally no, and even if they did, they would be unlikely to be able to hold them. There's a bunch of federal law which basically lets federal agents get away with almost anything they want at a state level if they can argue its pursuant to their duty.

Biden was directly responsible for one of the largest ICE funding expansions in history prior to the 'Big Beautiful Bill' and went as far as greenlighting millions of dollars to reopen a migrant detention facility at Gitmo where detainees were previously documented being forced to eat bugs to live.

on top of that, there is depressingly limited political will to do anything on the subject of arms to Israel and if we have to pick and choose I would rather it be spent on ending the endless stream of 2000 lb unguided bombs and artillery shells being used to level Gaza and neighbors

MTG’s line item was not about ending the transfer of MK84 bombs and 155mm artillery shells - it was targeting iron dome funding. Netanyahu is bloodthirsty, he will wage endless war regardless of the Iron dome, but a rising civilian death toll will embolden and empower him further
