It’s probably smart that Xbox is slowly stepping back from the console hardware market and farming out their content to Nintendo and Sony. These tariffs going to crush hardware manufacturers as US consumers get priced out of the hobby.

I’ve loved video games my entire life but there is a breaking point where I just say screw it and stick to playing my massive backlog of games. Me spending $80 for a new Donkey Kong or GTA game not happening.

No doubt. My strategy has always been to ignore. Otherwise I feel like I’m helping them amplify and broadcast their opinions. I’ve seen tons of posts this week on Bluesky asking me to imagine refusing playing a game unless the female protagonist is “hot”.
