My current indexing project discusses early modern book use, mostly focusing on marginalia, but also on readers creating their own indexes! The author even included photos of the indexes. I am, once again, a happy indexer.

The two (completely unrelated) books I am indexing today discuss the exact same obscure topic. This feels like an actual glitch in the matrix.

You know that your index is almost finished when it reaches 10.000 entries and your software shuts down every 5 minutes because it can’t handle it anymore.
