My current indexing project discusses early modern book use, mostly focusing on marginalia, but also on readers creating their own indexes! The author even included photos of the indexes. I am, once again, a happy indexer.

You know that your index is almost finished when it reaches 10.000 entries and your software shuts down every 5 minutes because it can’t handle it anymore.
