And here we thought that being a golf buddy of the president made someone supremely qualified to serve as the chief negotiator for the most complex conflicts in the world.
Witkoff saying that the overwhelming majority in the four Ukrainian regions (Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Donetsk, Luhansk) voted to be part of Russia is preposterous. The 2022 referendums were sham. The majority in Zaporizhzhia live in areas under Ukrainian rule where there was no referendum at all.
It’s clear from this that the only difference between Steve Witkoff’s and Vladmir Putin’s views on the war in Ukraine is that Putin actually knows the names of all the five Ukrainian regions he wants to keep.
