Legal teams are stepping up to defend Canada’s environmental laws. As multiple bills were implemented with the intention of fast-tracking economic growth, vulnerable wildlife is at further risk from shortsighted development and large-scale infrastructure.

It’s with heavy hearts that we honor the memory of Nakoda and her cubs, whose tragic loss this year highlights the need for stronger protections for wildlife in our national parks. One key issue is road safety, as collisions with vehicles remain a major threat to grizzly bears and other animals.
