The choice of percentages isn’t the big point. What would the reaction have been had she said ‘only 393000 white people owned slaves…’. It doesn’t matter what percentage that represents - it is the number that should revolt most people.

‘Liberals already ruined it’ is not an acceptable response from a ‘public servant’ who is required to be strictly impartial at all times. He is either a member of a cult or, if an actual public servant, should be subject to disciplinary proceedings for that response (let alone the use of such force)

Countries have borders, rich people have walls, fences, gated communities. When the pressure becomes great enough these defences will not hold. Governments and billionaires would do better to invest in empathy and improving the human experience rather than walls and deportations.

I am fascinated (appalled) by the number of poor to middle income people who think that it is unfair to take money off millionaires, let alone multi-billionaires. The ‘why shouldn’t they be able to keep what they earned - look at the jobs they created) crowd should look again at ‘earn’ and ‘job’!
