Exosolar is a 4x RTS game that is quick, dynamic, and choice based.
The Old Unit HUD was hard to understand when you had several units next to each other, so I redesigned it to be around the unit. This makes it a bit easier to see.

The process:
I take the base color, alpha it and get color data. I then take the roughness from the ao_r_mt texture, because water is smooth, and create two inverted images, one land and one water. Then apply new colors, add them together and I have a new planet!

Spent some time with my planets this weekend and developed a way to create some cool variations.
The green/black planet was the original, the blue green planet went through the transformation.

This is the Gaian Attack ship.
Each ship type gets a boost in one stat, and Attack ships do more damage every shot.

Gaian ships are generally angled forward with a prominent bridge near the rear of the vessel.

I was very happy to get this in, combat distances. Ships stop when they are in range of targets. Combat feels so much better now!
