We are putting way too much focus on his Russian sympathies. To be fair to Farage, he also empathises with the American Tech Bros, various white supremacists, and all sorts of greedy corporate crooks.

He is so obviously a person with learning difficulties. Whatever his diagnosis is. Surely, nobody should pay attention to his judgement on people's intellectual abilities.

I don't doubt that all 5 groups have a different "primary" motivation. But they all subscribe to the racist/xenophobic nature of the far right-wing nationalism. We can debate whether they do so enthusiasticly, reluctantly or acquiescently but they all accept it.

Those revelations won't damage Farage's popularity with his voters. This IS the reason they vote for him.

The sad thing is that he doesn't need to defend himself. People voting for Farage do so for 2 reasons only - racism and/or xenophobia. Those revelations aren't damaging for him. They are on brand

But this is exactly what makes him popular with his fans/voters. Everyone who votes for Farage is either racist or comfortable with racism.

Just under half of Americans. The other half are happy with it. They get to be racist and misogynistic to their hearts' content, so billionaires are free to help themselves to every morsel and crumb previously available to share between the rest of us.
