I love all the stuff you do in colored pencil. It really mixes well with your style!

Then one day, they wake up and all their friends are just like them. Shitty, and prone to hurting others for stupid shit, usually while ignoring actual problems.

They've scared away everyone kind or thoughtful.

And that's what they're stuck with: 'friends' just like themselves.

It's a trap, you see. Once they were nudged into hurting others for stupid shit, it was sprung.

They know that if they don't, others just as shitty as them will hurt them for not doing so. So they keep choosing wrong, rather than face themselves what they gave others.

no matter the cost.

Transfolk won't threaten them and their families or use terror as a tool to protect themselves

MAGA will despite it not really effecting them

No one else cares

They're trading safety in the moment for a future that isn't worth having.

Dumb cowards, teaching bullies that bullying works.

Suppose tomorrow something does do it.

Does it do it well enough that, once a specimen is collected, it cannot be used to retroactively go through old traffic and identify anyone else using the same trick?

If not, it didn't do it good enough.

(Why is it presently impossible?) properly encrypted traffic approaches noise in a way nothing else except compressed data does.

In addition to encryption and amateur hour tricks like protocol wrapping and varying ports, you need to make your noise look like signal again. Nothing does that. yet.
