Two things can be true: 1.) The Game Awards are meaningless and we shouldn't take them all that seriously. 2.) Award shows of its scale DO rewrite the mainstream history of the art form, whether they deserve to or not, and its okay to care that it's so thoughtless despite having that responsibility.

Managed to convince my sisters (and my sister's bf) to give Baccano a try. Told them if we finish Episode 5 and determine that they're not feeling it we can move on.
We finished watching ep 4 last night and they are RELUCTANTLY admitting to wanting to watch more.

Something random I was thinking about, I like how in the Fire Emblem series the remakes of older games are generally considered to be entirely new entries.
Fire Emblem 3 is just that, even if it is partly a remake of 1 like that.

It amuses me how I play video games in a very attentive matter. Like even though it's a spin off that takes place in the same universe Playing Judgement --> Yakuza 7 --> Lost Judgement makes sense bc events that occur in Y7 are briefly mentioned in LJ and it's cool.

I got an ad for a 3rd party Nintendo DS, just yesterday got another ad for a special Guitar hero control meant for use in Clone Hero and Fortnite Rock Band mode. Its neat.

I often think about 1000x Resist especially in these trying times. That one monologue, about the importance of rebellion and protests. Even if you don't succeed, the important part is leaving a mark so future generations can see that we are not ok with this.

I think it's funny that most reactions to the changes to the DQ 7 Reimagining are lamenting cutting the casino out and less about certain sections getting cut out.
