Second best movie of 2025 behind One Battle After Another. The kind of insane sequence of fuck ups that all you can respond with is horrified laughter, bookended by two of the best sports film sequences in cinema.

Psychotic first movie from Steven Spielberg, I love it
An hour and thirty minutes of hair standing paranoid horror as your debut is generational talent. Spielberg always had the sauce.

The movie that made me get Timothee Chalamet's hype even more than Dune Part Two did. I think Timmy C does much better in comedic roles than he does dramatic roles even if the lightfooted whimsy doesn't compare to Dune's grandeur.

Was NOT expecting Steven Spielberg to have it in him to direct something so detailed and harrowing and human, considering the year before this released he solidified his reputation as the Jurassic Park guy
10/10 I'm oscillating so bad between the extremes

For every Everest there's a Mariana trench, this might be the worst album I've ever heard 😭 I never want Ronnie Radke to be given a microphone ever again I swear to god

"Did you just fucking hang up on me you fucking liberal fucking prick?!" - Leonardo DiCaprio (2025)
Being vindicated for being a leftist by a fucking blockbuster film from a big Hollywood auteur is a crazy feeling. Fuck ICE.

Kyoto Animation is back, for good this time. Probably my anime of the year, and it's not even close. Every frame has unique animation, every VA puts 110% effort into their roles, everything has been polished up to a tee, even if some jokes are eh this is peak.

Good in the same ways Superman is in its latter half. Rough beginning that serves to ground the mostly female cast and let them blossom as truly independent characters in the second half as they shatter the patriarchy, insanely hopecore.

Okay this might be the best film of the past ten years after Fury Road.
Impeccable cinematography, acting, soundtrack motifs, visual storytelling, and a tragic tale of a kid fighting his fate that spirals into a modern epic. Brilliant work even if Messiah is next.
