Taylor Dykema again I see. I'm beginning to think they are not the country's best law firm. Maybe not Texas' best either.

Hmm. When I adopted my two sons, good genetic stock was not on my mind. White genes were not even on my mind. Their physical health and making sure their needs were met was most of what was on my mind back then. Maybe that's what separates people who adopt from those who just pontificate.

I wonder if Republicans understand that their base of Americans who tune in to be infotained by images of their own smug superiority can just as easily tune out when something else besides politics catches their eye (i.e. when Trump is gone).

It's a matter of semantics. When lay people hear someone is "illegal," they think the person is subject to immediate deportation. If you have deferred action, you are not subject to immediate deportation. That's the whole point of deferred action which often comes with work authorization.

The statement clarifies he had the right to work. You can't have "illegal" status and have the right to work. You may have an application or case pending, but the US government has approved your presence AND granted you the right to work in the US. Try to understand immigration law.

For fox sake, Musk is so stupid. Christian Identity refers to a specific white supremist group. They've been around for decades, since the Civil rights movement. He needs to spend less time on X and more time on Google.

Curtis doesn't think it's a legal issue, he think it's a cultural issue. Well Curtis, you realize the two are not mutually exclusive. The government threatening media outlets for cultural speech is still a First Amendment legal issue.

I think the 3 mainstream networks are already on their way out. They've lost a significant portion of their audience initially to cable and now streaming services. Kimmel and Colbert will wind up on some streaming platform, and they'll do just fine.

I've never been a fan of Ezra Klein. I tried to listen to his show but even his voice was so affected I couldn't take it.

Who gets to declare words offensive and disrespectful? When you are in the business of telling people what words they can use, you are in the business of alienating people and shutting them down. Take it from a red state Democrat, you're not educating people, you're turning them off. Stop.

The reason I don't listen to radio call-in shows like Michael Smirconish is that most people who call in have stupid things to say. I don't call in because on most topics, I don't have anything insightful to say. Tom, you do. That's why I follow you. Please stop responding to the stupid people.

Donald Trump has always thought he has a right to do whatever he wants to do. He sees himself as special and above all others, always has. This perception of himself as uniquely entitled is characteristic of Narcissistic and Antisocial Personality Disorder.

There is no treatment much less cure for antisocial personality disorder, especially for those in the extremely impaired range like Donald Trump. Personality Disorders are permanent arrests in psychological development.

The tests Donald Trump brags about are the Montreal Cognitive Assessment or MoCA. The MoCa is a screener for cognitive impairment. The fact that he brags about passing it on two different occasions shows he has no idea what the test means.

John Bowlby was right. Interaction and care from at least one consistent, reliable, and interactive caregiver is crucial for normal psychological development. To me, the Cluster B disorders are manifestations of permanent arrests in emotional and psychological development.

My first job out of graduate school was working with kids in foster care. Those who suffered extreme emotional neglect in early childhood fared the worst. Donald Trump's early childhood was marked by emotional neglect. His mother was too ill to care for him and his father too limited to care.

Sometimes I think Senator Mullin just likes to complain so much that he'll even complain about things he knows nothing about.

Freedom of Speech means only that the government is not going to punish you for what you say. It is not an interpersonal entitlement to shove unwanted information into other people's ears or violate their brains. You can say what you want and absent violence, they can respond how they want.
