One cool thing about how fast and easy LR is - my save file got corrupted at HR40 after a crash mid-results screen and maybe it won't take too long to catch back up...

Like, the game was TOO accessible for newcomers and didn't show any of the friction and grit that makes monster hunter actually appealing. Fights were boring to them bc wound stunlocks meant they cleared everything sub 15 minutes and never saw half of any monsters movesets.

I have friends that have never played a monhun that don't want to play HR because even as NEW players, the story was such an easy stomp that they expect the whole game to be a boring grind. They never engaged w crafting or traps or status effects bc they never needed to.
