It's the government's job to prevent detect and punish fraud, but when the government fails to do its job properly, people like her suggest punishing other beneficiaries instead of the malfeasant government.

I thought the timing was pretty good. Hold on until after the elections last week, but then reopen the government before snap children started starving to death. Point has been made. Midterms will be all about issues on which Democrats are strong, especially ACA subsidies.

I encounter them almost every day, and each sighting prompts a slight moment of self-examination. It's the stupidest motor vehicle ever made, and I don't know why anyone would buy one, except that there's a 12-year-old boy inside me that thinks they are the coolest thing ever....

And only 2 days ago there were stories about United and Delta raking it in at the high end even while they and other airlines were getting squeezed at the low end.

It's not easy to choose a gift for a king. Charles is the King of England, and we do have something we could give him that he might like to have back: let's give him South Carolina....

I’m not sure that legislating a bipartisan budget makes any sense in a world of impoundments, rescissions, and OMB closing Departments and by fiat. Democratic legislators should all just go home for a few weeks.
