my feet move, but they’re not mine.
the world hums like tv static,
colors blur into the strings of black and white fuzz.
my hands reach out,
but nothing ever touches me.
i breathe, but it’s just air,
and I wonder if i’ll feel anything tomorrow.

the light fades too quickly.
muscles ache, slow to move,
and breath feels heavy.
the room shrinks,
the quiet presses.
winter holds tighter,
and the body remains still.
the light fades too quickly.
muscles ache, slow to move,
and breath feels heavy.
the room shrinks,
the quiet presses.
winter holds tighter,
and the body remains still.
a weight that never lifts, a mind too still.
waves crash, but no one hears the cry,
just shadows dancing as the hours die.
body worn, heart undone,
alone with the battle, no one won.
familiar ache, familiar face,
only i remain in this empty space.
a weight that never lifts, a mind too still.
waves crash, but no one hears the cry,
just shadows dancing as the hours die.
body worn, heart undone,
alone with the battle, no one won.
familiar ache, familiar face,
only i remain in this empty space.
