I love this for you so much!

Out of Costco in just over an hour.

Shoppers deliberate but mostly on their A-game in the store.

Staff to be commended for their near-universal hustle.

Special thanks to whoever decided to put the coffee and whipped cream samples so close together.

Aurora Village Costco, 1:30pm:

Lot more full than usual, but still plenty of places. Alas, while staff members are wrangling carts with aplomb, folks who have completed their shopping have forgotten everything they ever learned about cooperative driving.

Pray for me; I’m going in!

A brief intermission while I recharge by visiting my momma.

Shout out to Adult Family Homes and the dedicated folks who keep them running!

Fred Meyer Shoreline/Aurora:

Parking and congestion similar to TJ’s but mood is more resolute and deliberate.

Trader Joe’s Shoreline:

Plenty of parking spaces just before 11am, but car and cart steering obliviousness suggests past holiday shopping trauma starting to emerge.

Parking spots nearly full by 11:15.

I’m wondering if there’s a better way to find out which restaurants have the correct ketchup brand without calling them individually.

Mmmmm. Fries. Mmmmm. Ketchup.

Got a favorite place for that?

I’m a sucker for the original Miracle on 34th Street and the “Turkeys Away” episode of WKRP.

Ooh! The post-explosion, decades-spanning legal shenanigans are fascinating!

Since the 1970s, I believe, but a lovely gesture nonetheless. Boston mayor currently there to participate and do other mayoral activities.

OMG! I’ve just started what promises to be a splodey boats reading jag (Halifax explosion, sinking of the Sultana). Adding this to my list and expanding interest to potential splodey boats. Thank you!

Haddam’s Gregor Demarkian mysteries, particularly the later ones, portray moral problems and decisions with a subtlety and depth I find very satisfying. Thanks for the reminder!

Fear not! It’s only gonna do that two more times this year.

Yes! Such a a lovely song. Requires both melody and rhythm chops. I could never but would feel kindly to anyone who tried.
