No stream today. Go vote if you're in the US. Unless you vote the wrong way.

I'm not feeling great today - just a stomach bug - hope to be back tomorrow.

🚨🚨🚨 Trump's NSA likely has or will have a quantum computer capable of breaking most deployed encryption before the end of his present term.🚨🚨🚨

The technology is here, it's just a matter of scaling it out. The government buyers and strategists are shopping. NVIDIA's NVQLink only affirms it.

after spending too much time debugging multi-logit unicode decoding issues I feel like maybe I'm finally an llm engineer

Jinja2 is a much bigger security issue for AI than LLM poisoning.

What's coming in video games is so amazing. Realtime deepfake environments. Breaking through to a new level of uncanny valley. Where we're going there's no polygons.

The future is now. Small models are amazing.

Python Software Foundation withdraws bid for $1.5m grant from US gov, because the terms require they do not "operate any programs that advance or promote DEI", and "it would be a betrayal of our mission and our community." Applause. pyfound.blogspot.com/2025/10/NSF-...

HyunyuanWorld-Mirror is a model I've been waiting for. Very exciting. I can't wait to see what's built from it.

waiting for minimax quants 👀

the jump from 64GB to 128GB VRAM feels negligible, looking forward to the day I can run these >200GB models on day one.

I spent 2-3 months deep diving into this early this summer. I do suspect that EC and 2048 are already within reach of private labs with the aid of logical qubits and a few hardware qubits. Also, Shors isn't the only algorithm.
Hell 1600 logical by 2028? That's like, EC is broken.

The AI purity test is so incredibly problematic especially when you look closer at who and why.

Anyway, is this a high(low) score?

I got frustrated with how GitHub Actions lets workflows with read-only permissions poison the cache of read/write workflows (!!??!?), so yesterday night I put together an Action that runs commands in a gVisor sandbox.

Docker images for the development branch of Hyprstream are now available for the most daring adventurers.

Currently it will download from Huggingface or other GitHub providers. You can run cli inference or launch an API server (OAI compatible).

Continuous fine tuning is coming soon.

Bsky is wild. In the past couple months I've grown my follower list and have been blocked a nearly equal amount.

I'm just trying to keep math and compute accessible to everyone rather than in the pockets of billionaires.

I've got docker images building from CI for Hyprstream. There's a bit of work ahead until I'm confident in its continuous RL features, and I'm still working on the filesystem overlayfs + git transaction manager.

Still... it's exciting and coming along rapidly!
