Lots of people yesterday was quoting the bit of the FT where some finance person was saying "oh no, Trump's bad, how could we ever have known" (I paraphrase). And as strange a quote as that was, it's this bit of the article that caught eye

For the first time ever I made royal icing for the Christmas cake rather than shop bought fondant. Hasn't set hard quite as I was expecting. Have double checked the recipe. I used 4 tablespoons of lemon juice, not 4 teaspoons. Zingy.

Christmas Traditions. Mine is, when we're doing Christmas at home, I steal a sheet of the children's A3 sugar paper and make a meal plan for the week. I keep them (and Xmas day cooking times on the reverse). They're now oddly precious to me.
