Eeee that sounds amazing. And I just got a new computer so I’ve been thinking about Skyrim… probably going to have to wait another 16 years though 🤣

It’s such a balancing act… Hope things improve.

That’s always such an interesting interaction. We have pitched battles between crows and red kites over our town and they can be quite dramatic!

Looks amazing! I need this… beautiful place.

😁 probably results in over-thinking sometimes…Some of these I don’t do as much as I’d like anymore but I feel like I could offer a brief perspective to writers who haven’t had these specific experiences.

If you’d like to field the odd question on your speciality you could always reply to this and #WriteWhatWeKnow Maybe one day it could be a useful resource somewhere.
I guess I also have some (lesser) experience of stringed instruments (folk fiddle mostly), horse riding, and making chainmail.

If you have a question that falls into one the above topics I might be able to offer some insight. Ultimately I’d love to foster a space where anyone with skills, experience or knowledge could help people with the details of their worldbuilding etc (within reason, volume-of-words- wise!)

Hate it so much - hope you get better soon. Not sure it’s really an age thing - my lower back packed in for the first time at 18 ( 20 years ago… 😭). Watching my posture and working out for my back as much as possible has mostly settled it down over the intervening years…

I’ve begun to wonder if my asleep-brain has poor taste in writing because I often have that sense of having had a great idea but what I remember never quite cuts it…

Our library has a small rotating museum display. Recently they had a Roman roof tile with a perfect dogs paw print in it. Amazing thing to see, makes it more real in a weird way.

I often have these brilliant ideas and then looking through my notes find that I thought of the same thing six months ago…

It’s so frustrating but it’ll probably come to you in the shower or something, if you’re keeping it in mind.
