It's difficult to game out. I live in a Trump +5 district, but that's the type of district that may need to be competitive for Dems to win. I can guarantee that in my specific precinct (where lots of Dems will vote) the polling place will be guarded by a phalanx of 75 year old Unitarians

Keith would ash in one of these guys' drinks in the first 20 minutes.

What's wild is that, for much of the 80s and 90s, the very idea of a large, armed, federal domestic police force was exactly what many conservatives were most concerned about. They have just, like, changed their mind now.

Any timetable on Jayden Danns?

Also, what was the cost of deploying all of these military assets to the Caribbean? Let's see the balance sheet for this thing.

Sounds like a team who might do well in a two-legged knockout competition (with some luck) . . .

It's like Arrested Development: Limited liability company? How about a *no liability* company?

I tried that! Knee wedge was the ticket.
January 3, 2026 at 11:26 PM
Yeah this can be a problem with ours. Couple times I've had to unplug the machine, put it on the floor, wedge it between my knees and torque the bowl

At least in US that typically includes “with reckless disregard”

I‘ve never seen one of these contracts, but it seems possible there is some ”duty of the venue” type provision that could cover this. Surely venue can’t tweet something horrendous the day of the show etc without breaching

Yet somehow half the online fanbase was promoting him to starting CB last week

I'm sure the answer is the economics of licensing, but I've always been curious why there isn't more "February is James Bond Marathon Month" type stuff at the corporate chain theaters. I suppose the indy theaters have that covered with less overhead? Only in big cities, though.

Yeah, that's my feeling. Figuring they would sign Guehi at the deadline and failing was an unacceptable risk.
December 7, 2025 at 2:36 PM
True. I think that may just come down to "what is the alternative?" Gomez has not been a starting LFC center back for a long time and apparently has a knee issue even now. Could play Gravenberch but that creates a new problem.

Second goal vs PSV. Salah sort of pretends to make a tackle, guy blows past him and plays the assist (all right in front of the bench btw). Trying hard and screwing up is forgivable to a manager, half-assing is not. That's my theory, who knows.

All of his interviews sound like an improv drill where you just quickly come up with the most inane response to a question.

Lee Dixon and whoever on the NBC feed were relishing the idea of an own goal.
December 3, 2025 at 10:13 PM
Lot of dangerous looking cutbacks finding defenders. Liverpool somehow look dangerous and also look like they will never score

Gakpo just killed two attacks in a row with poor touches

It looks like they steamed them for about 4 minutes and then dried them on paper towels before plating

Ha, is it really a DIY project if you don't have to go back to the hardware store at least once?
November 23, 2025 at 10:14 PM
I think there is a definite mentality issue (which is pretty understandable) - they aren't responding well to adversity. But I agree, they conceded that crucial first goal out of not much and were good before that. Liverpool's underlying numbers were better than those of Brighton, who won.
November 22, 2025 at 7:03 PM
Yep. What’s confusing (though maybe explained by just “dumb”) is that if they thought they could strategically trickle out the things they like and hide the stuff they don’t like, they would have done that around the binder time. But they decided that wouldn‘t work
