Ugh. That was supposed to be "legitimately" in the quotes. One of these days we'll finally have that edit button...

Yes. I still agree. Speaking as someone with direct ancestry of Nazi concentration camp survivors. The initial post stated protests "literally" do nothing, which is inaccurate in the larger picture of the required actions. Protests *alone* do nothing. Those doing the work know protests *do* matter.

I see so many comments about frustrations that they weren't preparing this ahead of time. That works in cases where the person in question openly said they'd do/not do a thing. But being fully prepared while person(s) say they'll comply only ensures the legal actions will fail (eg. vindictive, etc).

Because they actively speak out against gender affirming care while clearly engaging in gender affirming care daily? I'd also say because the guys were largely unattractive and "ew" their whole lives. 🤷‍♀️

It does & continues to. Many of us have been actively involved for a long time now & others have joined in more recently. With each protest (national AND local ones), more people get involved. Protests are public & visible. The real work behind the scenes is less so. Doesn't mean it's not happening.

They definitely do that. "I like oranges." "WHY DO YOU HATE APPLES?!"

Yes. I agree. And protests are a big part of how you get word out as part of organizing efforts. Protests are a small but important piece of any movement.

Protests make opposition visible and socially acceptable. While protests alone don't do any of the much needed work, they do create awareness of and support for those doing the work. Doing good work is *hard*. Anything that eases the stress, no matter how little, can make all the difference.

I've always found the "wait until it's not glowing" guidance silly. At that point, you're just putting incense on hot ash. It reminds me of charcoal grilling. If you don't start cooking until the coals stop glowing, your food isn't cooking. 🤷‍♀️

A competent president not actively experiencing cognitive decline?

Congrats! (As I sit here in my still half snow covered EV trying to convince it to charge in 24°F. 🥶🪫)

#Witch 🤷‍♀️ Although I aspire to be a delightfully helpful (read: annoying) ghost one day.

I didn't learn the addition as "take no shit", but it's definitely the modernized and concise version. 😂

😂 "at least one". I can come up with at least half a dozen I'd be on without thinking deeply about it. See you in the camps?

Way too many US adults in general act like they're still in high school. 😑 (Speaking as a former high school teacher...)
