The world is on fire, and no one can save it but you! On this Valentine’s Day, have some flowers (fireweed even - the ones that create a carpet of vibrant color after a wildfire) and remember that you matter 💕

Today’s bench top views. Hoping to get the metalwork done on all of these today so I can bead them up tomorrow!

I spent my work day today cutting out the pieces for these otter earrings (and for some halibut earrings too!) - In times like these it feels even more important to allow myself to disappear into my work for a while. It’s cathartic. It’s rejuvenating. It gives me the energy to fight back.

Can’t wait to see some wild roses again! The winter whiteout is starting to get to me 😅
I embroidered these roses onto birch tree bark, then backed them with salmon leather I tan in my home studio! The beaded fringe with moonstone accents finishes them perfectly.

Do you focus better at home or on the go? I’m always looking for things for help me stay on task, and sometimes just getting away from my usual scenery really makes a difference!

Have you stopped by a local art gallery lately? Taking some creative rest is one of my favorite ways to escape and reset. Plus there’s always loads of inspiration!
This is a shot from an exhibition I’m participating in currently in Juneau AK - an all earring exhibition!

Hoping to connect with artists, naturalists, and cool people who love to look at pretty stuff! I embroider on bark and salmon leather, and make silver jewelry collections!
