This is at least the 4th time I’ve purchased this book. The first fell to pieces. The last one is in storage that I can’t access rn. So I thrifted it again. Ms. Henderson is able to give me feels like no other. I’m on pg 20, and I’ve already cried twice. READ THIS BOOK. #booksky #happyplace

Pain levels high today but I’m going to try to dye some more wool, as the project I had planned has now morphed into a triptych and I need sooo much more black.
And yes, that is a teensy pot (2qts?) requiring dyeing about an OUNCE of fiber at a time.

These socks are a milestone in my knitting journey. Socks have taken weeks to finish with mistakes and generally sloppy work. This pair is so far without mistakes, stripes are placed perfectly and match, and have been knit in less than a week including two days off for other projects. I love them.

Today’s adventure in dyeing.
Woke up in major fibro flare but dammit I will not give up the things I love to do. So I still did the dyeing I planned on.
Pretty pleased. Some will be spun into yarn and some used for a wet felting project. #FiberArts #Dyeing #CraftingInTinySpaces

Why dye lots matter. The second picture the skeins are switched so it’s not just a lighting issue. It’s fine: bought in different stores at different times and will be used in different projects. I really do love this color scheme.

Never in my life would I have thought I would knit something like this. I hated ribbing: seed stitch was a level of hell I couldn’t imagine.
Then I learned the Norwegian way of knitting and purling. Game changer! No more throwing!

How is it possible this story needs to be written?
My husband, a native Californian of German heritage, ended up with a Mexican surname and got so much grief because of it that when we married, he chose to change his last name too. And that was way back in the golden age of 2000.
