There is no individual right to keep and bear arms. Legal scholars never opined that the Second Amendment had anything to do with giving individuals the right to carry guns until 1960. For 219 years, the federal courts held that an individual right didn't exist.

Why would private "investment" firms borrow money to buy a company, load it up with debt and walk away with all the profits while the company goes bankrupt? Because that is what is happening. Corporations, the uber rich and the Republicans see the country as an asset to leverage for profit.

The difference is, the Republicans, corporations and the uber rich are engaging in a leveraged buyout. They reap the benefits in the form of tax breaks, we get the $36.9T in debt. Win-win to you, not to me.

Michael, what you are talking about here is essentially a leveraged buyout [LBO]. Corporations and the uber rich, with the help of [mostly] Republicans, are doing to the country what Bain Capital does. They get the tax breaks, and we get the debt that made it all possible.
