In terms of Jonathan's point about a moral framework, I did hear him say conservatives are modeling a better M.O. with religion, but I didn't hear him promote religion. There are many alternatives to religion that can fit. For me, community building & caring for our environment is an alternative.

As a former public middle school teacher of 9 years, I attest to a lot of what Ezra & Jonathan name. The issue w/ short attention spans is real. I agree that there is much to be anxious about beyond what's mentioned in the podcast, but isolating and living through online communities doesn't help.

Ezra, I would love to help you develop an organizing strategy that targets Dems and pushes them to take proactive steps to implementing the policy & political recommendations of Abundance!! Let's do this!

I REALLY loved your article in the NYT: Democrats, It's Time to Say Good Bye to the Neoliberal Era. It resonated with me SO MUCH. Your talking points have a lot of common ground with Sen. Sander's current Stop Oligarchy tour. Have you had the chance to interact and exchange notes with him?
Too many leaders just want to "win" and make money. I feel this, in particular, with many current political leaders. They are not serving, they are not advocating for any set of values, just working to get re-elected (for what???) and get donations in the millions.
