This doesn’t look like much.

What you see is a 10mm by 3mm slot and a 3mm hole.

What’s not obvious is I bought this CNC 16 years ago and this is the first time I’ve predictably cut aluminum.

This is a major step forward in my intended workflow.

Dust shoe seems to work. I nixed at least a dozen ways to attach the brush and finally just hot glued it.

I guess I promised some non-cat postings so here is the scrap from todays fun. I’ve swapped out the several kg water cooled spindle for a much lighter air cooled one on my CNC and I’m making dust collection for it. Building it up from on-hand material.

Well I did have some things I was planning to work on but they seem less important now.

Lazy Sunday afternoon reading.

I was gonna futz with the CNC a bit but I ordered the wrong spindle kit so might as well read.

I just can’t shake the feeling that I’m being watched.

This little fuzzball still hates me but at least she is chilling a bit after near 2 years inside.
