lotr: wotr was good. it obviously can’t touch the original trilogy, but neither can most other movies anyway. the characters include a female protagonist who gets shit done, the hardest muscle-bound king in middle-earth, and a hilariously self-destructive incel villain, so i had a good time.

i saw flow yesterday, and all i’ll say for now is that it’s easily the best movie of the year. @gintszilbalodis.bsky.social is nothing less than a true master of his craft, and i don’t say that lightly
