Because the politicians persuaded a slight majority of actual voters to support them based on BS culture wars, and the majority of eligible voters didn't vote. So why would they care what the majority wants when they get away with it in every election?

No offense but you're being obtuse. It didn't force anyone to do anything. But she platformed people without vetting (or caring) and this made them a lot of money and also gave them bullhorns which led to power. Would you be ok if she did had platformed David Duke?

I've been saying that to my wife for years. But the worst person she promoted was "The Donald" who appeared on her show numerous times. Didn't she know what a racist pig he was? Was her shoe research free? I couldn't believe it when she got to speak the DNC and still didn't apologize.
