2. There's also something you missed in the Cave of Ordeals! In some of the later floors, there's actually purple and orange rupees you can get by digging the ground as a wolf (and iirc there's even a silver rupee? Could be wrong tho). I'm pretty sure those are there to refill your magic armor.

You missed 2 things:
1. There's a place you missed in Hyrule Castle! In one corner of the central square, there's an empty building you can go into, and there's a couple of goron merchants there! I think they're designed to be an easy way to get basic goods before you get the new Malo Mart opened.

huh, I thought she had previously said she was pan, is she realizing she's not?
Either way, I'm sure you two will figure stuff out together.

Oh it was 3 posts, miscounted

Oh yeah hallucinations and misinfo are dangerous. It's gotten better but yeah. ChatGPT is being adopted without any semblance of care.

and even if it does take most of the jobs and leaves people without an income (which is the real issue here), this doesn't mean people will just. Stop creating stuff.

They will, bc people wanna be creative and they wanna do art or craft or whatever, just for themselves, for fun.

asking an ai helper to make the lighting of a photograph look better, or simply to create works of art they just don't have the talent to do, tweaking it until it matches their vision.
These are all ways creative AI can automate parts of the process without diminishing human creativity (sorry, long)
February 12, 2025 at 5:49 PM
(oh god this is 4 posts long I am so sorry)

I don't see how it's not creative, though. The vision of a project is still going to be human, even if the implementation isn't. Someone using ai to, say, suggest edits to a piece of writing, or to fix certain details in a piece of digital art,

Automation of creativity doesn't mean the death of creativity. People still handknit despite knitting having been more and more automated for centuries. It's going to become more of a niche, but that's fine. If videogames and music are anything to go by, some of the best art is niche.

Oh whoops, was writing a second part to that post. And yes, fully agreed that we need a far more caring society. I just don't think that's incompatible with the pushing forward of technology, in fact they can complement each other.
February 12, 2025 at 5:27 PM
Economic incentives are making it so that it is *not* being offloaded, rather it is piling on. This is what makes things bad instead of good, and why we need to change the priority structures of society, while still pushing the progress of automation forward.
February 12, 2025 at 5:26 PM
To me, we are on this Earth to enjoy life, to have fun with our friends and to have a good time. *Society* is here to provide for humanity, because individually providing for each other is hard, often unrewarding/cruel work. If we can offload it to machines, then we can have the best of both worlds.

"As a Person On The Internet, I should have the right to attempt to rebuke any and all opinions I see on there" is... a prevalent (and, ngl, understandable although extremely unhealthy) sentiment
January 14, 2025 at 11:55 PM
No I'm p sure they're reading your post perfectly clearly, they just disagree with the concept of "nobody has a right to anyone else's attention"

You can hone a skill, you can be creative, that's not going away. Just because the world doesn't need artisan pottery makers anymore doesn't mean people in the 21st century don't still make new friends in their hobby pottery classes.

Why? There's always the drive to socialize because you want to look for likeminded people. Used to be forums, now it's Discord servers, and there's always meeting people irl in common interest groups. Why would any of this go away?
December 13, 2024 at 4:35 AM
It's not "never interacting with humans", it's "only interact with the humans you want to interact with", I don't think that's bad tbh, as long as you're not being disinformed about the outside world (which is the real problem with social media).
