I'm also good.red, but not today.

Culture = Languages + Food + Ritual.

Will wield the Actor Model and hunt performance in cocnurerent systems for food.
I had to write an ASN.1 parser as the language that I was using didn't have one.

Property testing found bugs that regular testing never would have.

Came here to say the exact same thing.

"Nyberg frowned as if she’d started speaking Welsh"

Hey now davorg!

I know that y'all keep saying "animation takes time", but holy shit - i had zero idea it took that long.

Thank you so much! ❤️

The only "leak" I'd like to see is a rough estimate as to when the recording of the concert is going to be available on prime!

Yay!

Also Goose, yay!

That was what we used to have for Christmas when I was a child in Wales.

Seemingly impossible to source in the Southern United States.

I miss it so, and am giddily happy for you that you got it!

In my mind, accent is still *by far* the biggest social indicator of class.
November 10, 2025 at 11:27 PM
My mother's family was working class - tinkerers and cleaners.

My Grandmother paid for my mother to go to a school to teach her how to speak with a middle-class accent. "Elocution Lessons".

After she completely changed her accent, she got a job in the Government and was middle class.

Something something Tanenbaum–Torvalds debate, something something …

("it", being the societal transformation, in case it's not clear from context)

There was literally no surer way to start a fight than to insinuate that someone was gay.

There was literally nothing worse a man could be called back then.

We are fortunate to have witnessed it.

7 years should sound familiar… S1E1 - first hour minutes:

Vaggie: "Did you hear from your mom yet?, How long has it been now?"
Charlie: "Not that long, only seven years".

There's 100% a link between Lilith's deal with Sera and the exterminations.

There's a whole lot of (optional) backends to deal with storage.

From the obvious local filesystem, to browser storage (I wouldn't), to little servers you can run on your own infra.

I'd likely use git.

Being able to backend onto a git / github / gitlab is a huge plus for me personally.

Joe Armstrong spoke very highly of tiddlywiki:

tiddlywiki.com

You can run it as a local file, or as an application.

It serves a very similar niche to OneNote, and I prefer it.

You can run it as a local file, an application, or if you really want to a cloud thing.

Same!

I have so many contradicting hypotheses and absolutely noöne I can talk to about it and it's driving me *crazy*.

The fact that we can't see where this is going, yet can see so many amazing equal possibilities is testament to @vivziepop.bsky.social 's writing and world-building.

Eli maybe?

… and yeah - best I could do was compare the expiration date.
November 6, 2025 at 3:40 PM
Yeah, some parliamentary systems like the UK trigger a timer if the budget isn't passed in time.

If they don't pass one within said timer, it triggers a general election which puts ALL MPs jobs on the line.

1909 I think was the last time this happened I believe.

I saw someone reference that term in a different thread and was in the process of googling what a "Bodegas Cat" was.

Thank You!

Sure, AND knowing *what* to observe / instrument is also a lesson that is borne from experience.

Deploy the ground-imaging equipment where bodies have historically been buried.

Silly me not tagging #hazbinhotel in the above post …

But if I do do it, I'll provide no context.

Just cackling…

… and screams.

There are still some vestiges of gendered nouns in English.

When christening ships for example:

"May God bless her, and all who sail in her".
