I understand what you are saying and have read Snyder but it would take a lot to do what trump has done here.
The party that wins chooses the prime minister and if you look at our recent history the party just removes anyone unpopular and are usually punished for the instability at the next election

This is true but we have compulsory voting on a Saturday with mail in and early voting easily accessible. Non partisan national electoral commission and strict donation rules. We also vote in schools and community halls with cakes and sausages

This is true but we have compulsory voting on a Saturday with mail in and early voting easily accessible. Non partisan national electoral commission and strict donation rules. We also vote in schools and community halls with cakes and sausages

Our electoral system wouldn't let this happen. It's not perfect but I think the best I am aware of. We have a crazy billionaire and some crazy racists and sometimes they get a couple of seats. Our conservatives tried being trumpy this election and got decimated

I can't imagine what would happen if our government 🇦🇺 posted anything like that or wiped history from websites or knocked down a historic building or blew up random boats in neighbouring seas or leaked defense plans in a group chat or refuse to pay food stamps or kidnapped people off the streets...

Tbf compared to the rest of the world it's awful BUT we can see that it's the best thing you have in the USA if you aren't wealthy.

He can only be arrested by a country that is a signatury so it depends if say Venezuela brought the charges through the ICC he could be like Netanyahu and be limited to where he can go without being arrested. Only the US can really hold him accountable
