Looking at people blaming the higher frequency of broken cards being released on the number of sets coming out each year, and I get that it's probably not helping, but like

Don't you remember Mirrodin? Cawblade? Eldrazi winter? Saheeli Cat Combo? Temur Energy?

This feels weird to say, but Standard might be in a good place after Vivi/Cauldron is gone. The cards are interesting to me, there's a lot to do, and with the occasional pushed exception that makes things difficult, the power level is enjoyable.

As someone who has been entrenched in sixty card competitive for close to twenty years, I don't personally understand why people think there is a "correct" way to play Magic.

Competitive? Great.
Commander? Awesome.
Cube? Love it.

I wish people were more open-minded about formats they don't play.
